No Coding: How to add text to header and footer in WordPress
Of course you can go into your dashboard and click on widgets. In most wordpress themes you will see a sidebar widget, a header widget, as well as a footer widget. If you enter text into those widgets, your sidebar on your website will have a lot of text on the front page on the side of your website. Your website will not be a great user experience for visitors, hence an unprofessional website.
Here is an example of adding text into a sidebar through the text widget. Widgets were not created for extensive texts or paragraphs. The words are all bunched up with no indentions. If you look under repost section the recent post title is formatted/coded for actual text and headlines.
So I will show you an easier way to add text to your headers and footers.
- First go to your dashboard
- Hover your cursor on plugins .Under installed plugins click add new plugins.
- On the far left search for keywords insert headers and footers
In the left column dashboard hover over settings and on the list on your right, click insert headers and footers
Click on Insert Headers and Footers
Here is where you would enter your banner code, facebook pixel or whatever coding you prefer. Then save.
Although there are small codes entered, It is not if we are coding from scratch. The plugin is doing most of the work for us. Instead of going into your editor, This is an easier way to implement codes from your wordpress plugin.
