Competitive landscape

The overall picture of all the competitors in a market and how they relate to one another.

The competitive landscape is the overall map of who competes in a market: direct rivals, indirect alternatives and potential entrants, and how they relate on price, positioning and segment. A clear landscape is the starting point for strategy, messaging and planning.

Landscapes are never finished. Companies launch, merge, reposition and exit, and an out-of-date map leads to out-of-date decisions.

RivalDesk keeps the landscape current by monitoring every competitor you track for the moves that change where they sit, so your map reflects the market today.
